Publication of my coffee table book 'Go Greenland' ............K J S Chatrath

My friends often ask me which of the 65 odd countries that I have visited, is my favourite. My honest and unambiguous reply is - my own country India. OK, which next, they persist. Surely Greenland, is my reply.  I have visited it twice- once the areas on the  western coast and more recently in 2017 on the eastern part. Being in Greenland I felt as if was in heaven where everything was beautiful and orderly and people very friendly & helpful. I must add that going to Greenland from India is quite easy and not too expensive.

I have made a modest and amateurish attempt to put some of the photographs of Greenland taken by me in a coffee table book format.

As soon as the book was ready I made a request to  the Danish Ambassador in India His  Excellency Mr. Freddy Svane,  requesting for  a brief  appointment for personally presenting the first copy of the book to him. Happily I received an immediate response fixing the meeting on 6th September 2022.

On the fixed date and time I was ushered towards Ambassador's chamber  by his super efficient and pleasant Secretary Ms. Sudha Paul, but not before offering me a great cup of tea. The Ambassador  came out of his room to receive me outside his door. I was touched by the civility and politeness. We had a brief chat. He thumbed through the book and complemented me for my effort.  I felt greatly honoured.
