Mukteshwar Temple, built 950-975 CE, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Odisha is one place you must visit before you die! Mukteswara Temple is one of the most beautiful temples of Bhubaneswar showcasing an elegantly ornate façade which marks the transition between the earlier and mature temples of Odisha. Hence it is famous as ‘Gem of Kalinga architecture’. The exquisite torana the only one of its kind in Odisha, is one of the notable features of this temple. As one steps in, one can find the architectural plan engraved on the temple floor. One out of the six shrines in the front of khakra order. "The little known 'Ghora Gali' in Ramban, J&K, India" - by K J S Chatrath

Image
Thumbing through an old newspaper (The Tribune, 21 st  September, 2022) I came across an interesting item.  It informed that the  J&K administration has sanctioned a project worth Rs 77.25 lakh to restore Ghoda Gali, which houses stone horses believed to be sculpted thousands of years ago, in Gool village of Ramban district. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mussarat Islam said Rs 29.18 lakh had been released and the work would begin soon. The area with hundreds of stone horses has many folklore associated with it from Pandavas sculpting them to the one that these horses were made by the army of Alexander who had lost its way over 2,300 years ago. This aroused my ever sensitive sense of curiosity and I have started looked for further information and photos. Here I share some photos that I have sourced from the internet, the youtube clip of a remarkable  lady traveller & blogger-    https://www.youtube.com/@TravelTalesIndia/community and from   https://scroll.in/magazine/872541/who-left-
