'Lord Hanuman's statue (5th-9th A.D.) in Copan, Honduras, Central America' - by KJS Chatrath

Indicative map showing Honduras

Statue of Lord Hanuman at Copan in Honduras, Central America?

Travelling through the jungles of Honduras in Central America last month (in 2018), we reached the old Mayan ruins at Copan. And look what did I find there. A statue which looks like that of of Lord Hanuman - having a tail and holding a mace (called gada in India)!

A detailed article and more photos would follow on my blog www.allochatrath@blogspot.com

Jai Bajrang Bali!

  1. Coud you see the tail? The mace appears to have been used in other cultures too as a weapon.
