 This is an old 1897 advertisement of LU. Lefèvre Utile, better known worldwide by the initials LU, is a French manufacturer brand of biscuits connected with the city of Nantes, which I was lucky to visit a few years back.  The brand is now part of a US confectionery company. 'Lefevre' is a French family name and 'utile' literally means useful.
