'Champa - A Hindu Kingdom in Vietnam from 4th-13th century AD: A Curtain Raiser' - by K J S Chatrath

Between the 4th and 13th centuries a unique culture which owed its spiritual origins to Indian Hinduism developed on the coast of contemporary Viet Nam. This is graphically illustrated by the remains of a series of impressive tower-temples located in a dramatic site that was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom for most of its existence. I was lucky to visit in December 2019. This area is now situated in My Son Sanctuary in Vietnam. This Sanctuary has been declared to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I would be sharing scores of photos taken by me in this Sanctuary on this blog. You are invited to subscribe to my blog to get email intimation whenever a fresh blog is posted.
