"US diplomat launches English language programme at Chandigarh University"...Reports The Indian Express, Chandigarh, August 23, 2024.  The Britishers and the French used language as one of the motors of colonialism. English that we learn and speak in India is called British English, whereas the English that the people of USA use is called 'American English'. To this list we may now add what is quite popular in India- the Indian English. Every one is happy with one's version of English.  So why does the USA want to 'persuade' us to learn their version of English? Sorry 'Fellas', not for me. I am quite satisfied with my Indian English.

  Unending news of rapes is shocking. My suggestion would be to award the following punishment to the person found guilty of rape by a court of law:   (i) Compulsory Physical castration (ii) Compulsory Whipping (iii) Circulation of the photo in media and TV of the man castrated for rape    Necessary amendments to the law could be made including (i) No adjournment to be allowed while the case is being heard and (ii) setting up of a time limit for completing the case.
